November
9th-13th
*I hope that you all faired well during our Nor’Easter last week. As our school schedule was interrupted last week, so was the time given for each of our letters and sight words. We have adjusted the introduction of letter Pp to this Wednesday through next week, while finishing Cc activities this Monday and Tuesday. We will also be introducing the new sight words like and is.
*As noted on the Alert Now phone call made last week, our school is scheduled to receive the H1N1 flu clinic this Wednesday. As it stands now, kindergarten students will go down at 10:40 a.m. for the morning session and then at 12:10 for the afternoon session. If you sent in a form for your child to be vaccinated, those are the times we have scheduled. If you noted that you want to be present for your child’s vaccination, please make sure to be at the school by the given times.
*November 18th: Little Acorns for rising kindergarten students
*November 19th: Scholastic Book Orders are Due...has been extended
*November 20th: Thanksgiving Feast (a.m. 9:20-10:20/p.m. 1:15-2:15)
*November 25th: Adjusted Dismissal A.M. 8:00-10:00
*For our upcoming Thanksgiving Feast, each child will need to bring in a gently used or new pillowcase (tan or white). We will cut the pillowcases to make vests for the children to wear. We will also need some white material to make the bonnets for our pilgrim girls. Thank you in advance for your help with this! Please send in pillowcases by November 13th
*You can now order your child's scholastic books on-line. Just visit the link
